SEATLAYER VS SEATS.IO QUESTIONS

Common questions.

Are SeatLayer and seats.io complete ticketing systems?
No. Both are specialist reserved-seating infrastructure intended to work with a ticketing or booking product. In SeatLayer SDK mode, the host owns checkout, payment, orders, tickets, refunds, and customers. SeatLayer also offers a secondary hosted reserved-seating path with the organizer's own Stripe or Razorpay account.
How does SeatLayer pricing compare with seats.io?
SeatLayer standard Platform/SDK can enter production for $0 with 100 free sold-seat credits per organization each month. Paid credits start at $0.10 and never expire. seats.io Silver is €450 prepaid annually for 2,500 used seats and starts at €0.18 per used seat. SeatLayer has around a 50% lower starting seat price. Your total cost depends on sales volume and the plan you choose.
Where does SeatLayer still have gaps compared with seats.io?
SeatLayer now offers Fixed Renewable Seasons for immutable 2–20-event Plans, same-seat holds and booking, incumbent Seat Rights, renewal offers, amendments, and reports. SeatLayer does not claim first-class resale. seats.io also documents seasons and adds event groups, resale, and a longer operating history, which some procurement teams may require.
How do the visual seat experiences differ?
SeatLayer offers a complete 2D picker plus an optional chart-derived interactive 3D buyer mode with live selection, fly-to-seat navigation, and a sourced panorama handoff. seats.io documents multiple-floor charts with isometric or stage perspectives and organizer-uploaded view-from-seat images, including panoramic look-around. This is a difference in approach, not a claim that seats.io has no 3D or seat views.
Do SeatLayer and seats.io support similar SDK stacks?
Their published coverage is broadly comparable. SeatLayer documents React, Vue, and Angular integrations, seven server SDK families covering Node, Python, PHP, Java, Go, Ruby, and.NET, vanilla JavaScript for other web frameworks, and supported production React Native, Flutter, Swift/iOS, and Kotlin/Android SDKs. seats.io documents React, Vue, Angular, the same seven server families, and React Native, Flutter, Android, and iOS SDKs.
