Privacy Policy

SeatLayer is operated by Paiteq Private Limited (referred to as “SeatLayer”, “we”, “us” or “our” in this policy).
1. What we collect
For account holders, we process your email address, profile, organization and team details, and service usage needed to operate and bill for SeatLayer. When an organizer uses hosted checkout or box-office features, we also process the buyer name and email provided, order and payment-provider references, ticket details, ticket-delivery history, and attendance status needed to issue and manage tickets. Contact requests include the name, email, company, topic and message submitted. Visitors also generate standard security and network logs.
Optional product analytics runs only after you accept analytics. It may receive generalized page paths, browser and device information, coarse interaction events, and a pseudonymous browser identifier. We do not send account email addresses or buyer contact details as analytics identifiers, and session replay is disabled. The marketing site may also load Crisp support chat after a visitor opens it or after a short idle delay; Crisp processes the chat message and technical session data needed to provide support, separately from PostHog analytics.
2. Data we minimize or keep separate
Headless seat-inventory routes do not require buyer identity. Hosted checkout stores the contact and order information needed to complete and service a purchase, but complete payment-card details stay with the organizer's configured payment provider. SeatLayer does not sell personal data or use buyer, chart or booking data for advertising.
The anonymous seating-chart maker keeps named saves in that browser and creates PNG, PDF, and JSON downloads in the browser. We do not add chart names, labels or geometry to explicit analytics events. JSON is the complete editable source and can include private authoring data; PNG and PDF omit private reference layers.
3. Where data lives
We use cloud infrastructure to host, store and deliver the Service. Depending on the service and visitor, information may be processed outside the country where it was collected. Optional analytics is processed by PostHog in the United States; support conversations and the related chat session may be processed by Crisp. Stripe or Razorpay processes payments when selected by the organizer. We use contractual and organizational safeguards for international processing where required, and we do not currently promise EU-only data residency.
4. How we use data
We process account and service information to provide the Service and perform our contract, buyer information on the organizer's instructions to complete and service orders, security information for our legitimate interests in preventing abuse and protecting the Service, billing evidence to meet contractual and legal obligations, and optional analytics with your consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time from account Settings or the analytics control on this page.
5. Sub-processors
We use providers for cloud hosting and storage, email delivery, support chat (Crisp), payment processing (including Stripe and Razorpay where configured), and optional analytics (PostHog). They may process information only for the relevant service purpose and under applicable contractual terms. The current provider list is available on request at hello@seatlayer.io.
6. Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while your account is active and while reasonably needed to close it safely. Buyer and order information is retained according to the organizer's instructions and applicable payment, dispute, security and legal needs, then deleted or anonymized when it is no longer required. Operational and analytics records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for their stated purpose. You may request account deletion from account settings; we retain only information that must remain for legal, billing, security or the rights of others. Browser-local maker charts remain on that device until you delete them or clear the site's browser data.
7. Cookies and analytics choices
Necessary storage supports sign-in, checkout, security and preferences requested by you. The Crisp support chat may store a chat session identifier when it is loaded; it is deferred so the first page render does not request the chat service, and it is not used as PostHog marketing analytics. Optional PostHog analytics is disabled until you select “Accept analytics.” Selecting “Reject analytics” does not limit the Service. Your choice is remembered for up to six months and can be changed here at any time. Public buyer, ticket and scan pages do not run SeatLayer's optional analytics, and session replay is disabled.
8. Your rights
You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal data and, where applicable, restriction, portability or objection. Some rights depend on the processing purpose and local law. Buyers should normally contact the event organizer first because the organizer controls buyer and order information; SeatLayer assists organizers with verified requests.
9. Our role
Paiteq Private Limited, operating SeatLayer, acts as controller for its own account administration, website, contact, security and optional analytics processing. For buyer, order, ticket and attendance information submitted through an organizer's event, the organizer normally decides why the information is processed and Paiteq Private Limited processes it to provide the service on the organizer's behalf.
