What moves: SeatLayer does not claim automatic seatmap.pro account, chart, event, or order import. Plan events and orders as part of the switch.

Import limits: choose one selected page from a PDF source up to 15 MB and 100 pages; SeatLayer rasterizes that PDF page for tracing. Its bounded SVG/DXF subset can create editable shapes, but it does not preserve native PDF/vector fidelity, source-PDF round-tripping, or SVG export. A clean rasterized chart PDF can be downloaded.

What does SeatLayer replace when you move from seatmap.pro?
The reserved-seating layer, plus the ticketing around it if you want it. SeatLayer covers venue design, live inventory, buyer selection, broad web, server and mobile SDKs, sales channels and Seasons, with 3D and view from seat included for every customer. Hosted Ticketing adds checkout on the organizer's own gateway, QR and PDF tickets, full or partial refunds, a box office counter and browser door check-in. Plan the move as a controlled rebuild: one venue first, then events and orders.
How does SeatLayer pricing differ from seatmap.pro?
Every Platform/SDK organization receives 100 free SDK seat credits each month. After that, $50 buys 500 confirmed-sold-seat credits, or $0.10 each, falling to $0.05 at volume, with no subscription or minimum commitment; purchased credits never expire. seatmap.pro Starter is €400 per year for up to 2,500 confirmed sales, and unused Cloud capacity does not roll into the next contract year. Your total cost depends on sales volume and the plan you choose.
How do I move from seatmap.pro to SeatLayer?

Can SeatLayer run the box office and the door as well?
Yes. The box office counter sells from the same live map buyers use online, suggests the best available seats, prints tickets on 80 mm receipt paper or A4, and finds any order by name, email, phone, order number or ticket code. Organizers issue full or partial refunds through their own payment gateway. Door check-in runs in the browser on a phone or tablet.
Does seatmap.pro support 3D seating?
SeatLayer includes 3D and view from seat for every customer, built from the same chart buyers pick from in 2D, with live selection and fly-to-seat navigation. seatmap.pro's current features page describes optimized 2D maps with per-seat view previews. This is a difference in released buyer experience, not a claim that seatmap.pro lacks seat views.
Is there a free seatmap.pro alternative?
Yes. SeatLayer's chart maker is free and you can start without signing up. With the SDK every organization gets 100 free sold seats a month in production, and hosted ticketing gives you the first 25 tickets free. Purchased credits never expire.
Does SeatLayer have mobile SDKs?
Yes. SeatLayer publishes SDKs for iOS, Android, Flutter and React Native, alongside React, Vue, Angular and JavaScript for the web and seven server languages.

Yes. On 15 September 2026 a public 200,000-seat stadium was ready to use in 1.95 s, and on 18 September one event took 10,000 buyers at once with zero server errors and a 9 ms seat hold (p99). The stadium and a 100,000-seat arena are public demos you can open.
