Not sure which side of the line you are on? A simple test: if you can oversell a seat by getting the answer wrong, you need something that owns the seat state. Start from one of 51 released templates or draw the room in the Designer. Check geometry, categories, accessibility and commercial view metadata, then publish a reviewed version that dated events reference.

Decide what inventory SeatLayer holds.
Define categories, prices, blocked seats and which sales channels see which inventory. If some inventory must stay in another system, plan that boundary explicitly—SeatLayer does not aggregate third-party listing feeds.

Prove hold, payment and door.
Embed the buyer picker in the checkout you own, or publish a hosted event page on the organizer's own gateway. Test hold expiry under concurrency, idempotent booking, signed webhooks, ticket issue and door scanning.

No automatic migration claim: SeatLayer does not claim an importer for Seatics maps, configurations or inventory feeds. How do SeatLayer and Seatics differ?

They sit on opposite sides of the inventory line. Seatics is a map layer: its published strength is rendering listings that arrive from one or many external inventory sources and combining them in a single view, which is the shape a resale or aggregation marketplace needs.
