Connect Stripe in three steps.

No webhook to copy and no code. The whole connection is one key.

  1. In Stripe

    Create a restricted key

    Give it four permissions: Checkout Sessions write, Refunds write, Webhook Endpoints write, and Basic Business Contact Information read.

  2. Settings → Payments

    Paste it and connect

    Paste the key and choose Connect Stripe. SeatLayer checks each permission against Stripe and shows Granted or Missing for each one.

  3. Event setup

    Assign it and sell

    Choose the Stripe connection for the event. SeatLayer creates the payment webhook on your account, so sales and refunds report back on their own.

What you pay on a $50 seated ticket.

SeatLayer charges $0.50 per confirmed ticket, seated or not, and nothing on the ticket price. Stripe charges its usual card fee for your account, the same as on any other Stripe sale.

Where the money goes, and how refunds work.

Buyers pay on Stripe Checkout and the money stays in your Stripe account, paid out on Stripe's schedule. SeatLayer never holds it. Refund a whole order or part of it from SeatLayer, or refund in your Stripe dashboard: a full refund puts the seats back on sale and a partial refund leaves them sold.

Can I sell reserved-seat tickets with my own Stripe account?
Yes. Connect your Stripe account on the Payments page with a restricted key, assign it to an event, and buyers pay on Stripe's secure checkout page. The money settles in your Stripe account and SeatLayer issues QR and PDF tickets.
What permissions does the Stripe key need?
Four: Checkout Sessions write, Refunds write, Webhook Endpoints write, and Basic Business Contact Information read. SeatLayer checks them against Stripe and shows Granted or Missing for each one. The key is encrypted when you save it and can never be read back.
How much does it cost to sell tickets with Stripe on SeatLayer?
SeatLayer charges $0.50 per confirmed ticket, with the first 25 free and no subscription. Stripe charges its usual card processing fee for your account. There is no percentage of the ticket price.
Do refunds made in Stripe update SeatLayer?
Yes. Refunds you make in your Stripe dashboard sync back to SeatLayer. A full refund puts the seats back on sale, and a partial refund leaves them sold. You can also refund a whole order or part of it from SeatLayer.
Can I test before selling real tickets?
Yes. Paste a Stripe test key to make a test connection. Test events take test card payments and issue tickets marked as not valid for entry. Test and live connections sit side by side.
Can I use a different gateway for some events?
Yes. Each event uses the connection you assign to it. SeatLayer supports Stripe, PayPal, Square, Braintree, Authorize.Net, Checkout.com, Mollie, Razorpay, Tap, Mercado Pago, Xendit, Flutterwave, Paystack and iyzico.
