Does SeatLayer hold the ticket money?
No. Buyers pay into your own gateway account and the money settles there on your gateway's schedule. SeatLayer creates the payment on your account and records the order. It is never the merchant of record.
Which payment gateways can I use?
Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Tap, Mercado Pago, Xendit and Flutterwave. Checkout, tickets and door check-in work the same with every gateway.
Can I request a different payment gateway?
Yes. If your country or bank needs a gateway that isn't listed, send us a request and we'll look at adding it. Request a gateway.
Can I use a different gateway for each currency?
Yes. Connect one account per currency, and each event uses the connection that matches its currency and mode.
Can I test before I sell?
Yes. Connect test keys and live keys side by side. A test event uses the test connection, charges nothing real, and marks its tickets as not valid for entry.
How do refunds work?
Refund all or part of an order from the dashboard. The money goes back through the gateway the buyer paid with, and a full refund puts the seats back on sale.
What does SeatLayer charge on top of the gateway?
$0.50 per confirmed ticket, and every new organization gets 25 tickets free. There is no percentage and no subscription. Your gateway charges its own processing fee.
