Stadium layout patterns & sightlines

A stadium seating chart is a bowl or a set of stands wrapped around a pitch, and the template you pick should mirror how your ground is actually built. Four-sided football and rugby templates ring a rectangular pitch with named stands, each split into a lower and upper deck stacked as separate floors. A cricket-oval template runs one continuous bowl of named stands around the boundary. Grandstand templates model a single long bank of seats where the whole crowd faces one way.

Section naming and tiers do the heavy lifting at stadium scale. Rather than render tens of thousands of individual seats at once, these templates group seats into stands and blocks so a buyer chooses a stand, then a block, then a seat — the same way a real ticket reads. Adult and concession tiers, premium members' stands and per-block pricing are all part of the data model.

The stadium templates here span roughly 360 to 4,232 seats and cover football, rugby, cricket, baseball, motorsport and school-gym use. Open the closest match, rename the stands, set deck and block pricing, and publish the live buyer picker.

FAQ

Stadium seating chart template questions.

What is a stadium seating chart template?

It is a ready-made SeatLayer chart shaped like a real ground — four stands around a pitch, a continuous oval bowl, or a single grandstand — with named stands, decks and blocks already laid out. You open the closest layout and rename the stands, adjust the block sizes and set pricing instead of drawing thousands of seats by hand.

How large a stadium can these templates handle?

The stadium templates range from about 360 seats in school-gym bleachers to a 4,232-seat cricket oval, and the wider template library includes a section-mapped arena fixture of over 14,000 seats. Seats are grouped into named stands and blocks so large grounds stay navigable for buyers.

Can I split stands into lower and upper decks?

Yes. The football, rugby and in-the-round templates already stack each stand into a lower and upper deck as separate floors, so buyers switch decks in 2D or view the whole bowl in 3D. You can add, remove or rename decks and blocks in the Designer.

Do these work for cricket and motorsport as well as football?

Yes. The set includes a continuous cricket-oval bowl, a long motorsport grandstand split into named blocks, a baseball grandstand and a two-deck rugby stadium alongside the football template, so you can start from the shape closest to your venue.
