AI and authoringEmbeddable Designer with scoped authorized MCP sessions. Deployment and commercial fit$0 production entry within the monthly allowance; paid credits never expire. Cloud SaaS. Bounded editable SVG/DXF import subset with no arbitrary SVG round-trip or SVG export.Annual cloud plans with no rollover; €20,000/year unlimited on-premise option. SVG import/export and Editor-only pricing are documented.

SeatLayer import boundary: one selected PDF page from a source up to 15 MB and 100 pages is rasterized for tracing. A bounded SVG/DXF subset can create editable Shape objects. This is not native PDF/vector conversion or source-PDF round-tripping, and SeatLayer has no SVG export. It can download a clean rasterized chart PDF.

SEATLAYER VS SEATMAP.PRO QUESTIONS

Common questions.

Which is better: SeatLayer or seatmap.pro?
Evaluate SeatLayer first when non-expiring pay-as-you-sell credits, stable JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue, and Angular SDKs, seven server SDK families, released sales channels, optional buyer 3D, or hosted operations fit the product. Choose seatmap.pro when on-premise or air-gapped deployment, or a full SVG import/export workflow, is non-negotiable.
Are SeatLayer and seatmap.pro both seating SDKs?
Yes. SeatLayer publishes stable JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Vue, and Angular SDKs, seven server SDK families, REST/OpenAPI, live inventory, webhooks, venue design, and buyer selection. seatmap.pro documents a TypeScript Booking Renderer, Booking API v2, WebSockets, webhooks, a Visual Editor, and an Admin Renderer. In SDK mode, each works inside a host-owned ticketing flow.
How does SeatLayer pricing compare with seatmap.pro?
Every Platform/SDK organization receives 100 free SDK seat credits each month. After that, $50 buys 500 confirmed-sold-seat credits, or $0.10 each, with no subscription or minimum commitment; purchased credits never expire. seatmap.pro Starter costs €400 per year for up to 2,500 confirmed sales. Its Cloud plans use annual caps and unused capacity does not roll into the next contract year. These are different currencies and commercial contracts.
Do SeatLayer and seatmap.pro both support 3D context?
SeatLayer provides a complete 2D picker plus optional chart-derived interactive 3D with live selection, venue orbit, fly-to-seat navigation, and a sourced panorama handoff. seatmap.pro's current features page describes optimized 2D seat maps with per-seat view previews. This is a difference in released buyer experience, not a claim that seatmap.pro lacks seat views.
Where does seatmap.pro remain a better fit?
seatmap.pro deserves direct evaluation when on-premise, air-gapped or self-hosted deployment is mandatory, or when arbitrary SVG import/export fidelity is part of the source-asset workflow. SeatLayer is cloud SaaS, has no SVG export, and does not claim an automatic seatmap.pro account, chart, event, or order migration.
COMPARE WITH A RUNNING VENUE

Review product evidence instead of assigning a winner.

Run the SeatLayer buyer demo, then test the same venue and operating boundary in both products.

At 53,018 seats the buyer renderer measured 17.6 ms p95 frames while panning, zooming and selecting in the disclosed desktop benchmark. The venue was on screen in 348 ms and every seat was drawn within 4.3 s while it stayed interactive; the flat-to-3D transition measured a 34.2 ms p95 frame. Measured 27 Aug 2026.
